 Academic Counselor - Jalandhar

Job Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Academic Counselor to guide and support students in their academic pursuits. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing individualized counseling services, monitoring student progress, and collaborating with faculty and staff to promote student success.

Key Responsibilities:
•Provide individualized academic counseling services to students, including assisting with course selection, degree planning, and career exploration.
•Monitor student progress, including tracking grades, attendance, and academic performance, and provide interventions and support as needed.
•Collaborate with faculty and staff to identify and address student needs and promote student success.
•Develop and deliver workshops and presentations on academic topics, including study skills, time management, and exam preparation.
•Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student interactions, counseling sessions, and related activities.
•Participate in student recruitment and retention initiatives, including outreach to prospective and current students.
•Stay up-to-date with trends and developments in academic counseling, and contribute to the development of new programs and services.
Qualifications:
•Bachelor's degree in counseling, education, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
•Proven experience in academic counseling, student advising, or related field, with a deep understanding of student development and academic issues.
•Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, faculty, and staff.
•Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret academic data and provide effective interventions and support.
•Knowledge of academic policies and procedures, including degree requirements, academic progress, and graduation requirements.
•Familiarity with academic support resources and services, including tutoring, writing centers, and academic success programs.
•Proficiency in student information systems and academic advising tools.
•Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required.
